Test Description
Cardiolipins are found in cell membranes and platelets. It is a type of phospholipid that plays an important role in blood clotting. Due to an autoimmune disorder body’s immune system mistakenly attacks the body’s own cardiolipins. Autoantibodies are produced during such an immune response that is called Cardiolipin antibodies. A blood test measures the presence and levels of Cardiolipin antibody IgA.
