Test Description
Anti Nuclear Antibodies (ANA) are a group of antibodies that are produced during an autoimmune disorder. These antibodies bind to the cell nucleus and result in inflammation response. Due to this the immune system being an attack on its own normal cells. The blood test is advised to look for the presence of antinuclear antibodies and this test is primarily used to detect autoimmune disorders. This test also helps in diagnosing systemic lupus erythmatosus (SLE).
