Test Name
Anti MÜllerian Hormone
Test Description
Anti MÜllerian Hormone is very important during a fertility test that gives information about a woman’s ovarian reserve. Higher levels (ranging 1-4 ng/mL) indicate normal ovarian reserve and lower levels (< 1 ng/mL) signifies low or diminished ovarian reserve. However, a significantly higher level of AMH (> 6 ng/mL) also means that the woman has polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). It is an extremely sensitive marker of ovarian aging and granulose cell tumors.
